I was born in 1982 with damaged kidneys and spent the first 36 years of my life with my head buried in the sand, assuming all will be ok. As at the start of 2021 I am due to transplant on 26th January… this month! However after being in end stage kidney failure since September 2018, having 2 cancelled living donor transplants in 2020 and with Covid-19 cases increasing at a rate we have not seen I have a feeling 2021 will be a bumpy ride.
